Analysis of cytokine secretion by MH-S cells Supernatants of co-cultured cells from the different treatments, obtained as described above, were used for the
detection of cytokine production. The levels of cytokines IL-10, IL-12, and TNF-α were measured using a commercial ELISA kit (BD Biosciences, San Diego, CA, USA) according to the manufacturer’s guidelines. The cytokine levels in the supernatant from MH-S cells were calculated based on a standard curve provided with the commercial kit. Data are expressed as mean ± SEM. Statistical analysis Statistical comparisons were performed by the paired 2-tailed Student’s t-test. All values are reported as mean ± SEM, with significance assumed at p < 0.05.
